Deepak Shankar is an accomplished wildlife photographer known for his stunning images of African and Indian wildlife. His passion for nature began early, and he spent much of his time exploring the natural world around him.
Deepak’s interest in wildlife photography was sparked during his first trip to Yala National Park in Sri Lanka in 2014. Since then, he has become a full-time professional photographer, celebrated for his captivating images that highlight the beauty and diversity of wildlife. His work has been featured in numerous publications and exhibitions both in India and internationally. In 2019, he was the runner-up for the Greatest Maasai Mara Photographer of the Year.
With over six years of guiding experience in Africa and India, Deepak is also a dedicated mentor and wildlife guide. He enjoys teaching conservation and sharing his expertise with aspiring photographers, helping them develop their skills and appreciate the beauty of the wild. Deepak’s photography is marked by his unique artistic vision, technical mastery, and commitment to capturing the essence of the natural world, particularly tigers, elephants, lions, and other animals in their natural habitats.
